In 2025 the Royal Australian Mint celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of the Torres Strait Islander Flag being proclaimed an official Flag of Australia with this stunning 2025 $2 C Mintmark Coloured Uncirculated Coin.
 
Coin's reverse features a 'C' Mintmark and a stylised representation of the Torres Strait Islander Flag design and Islander art.

The Torres Strait Islander Flag, designed by the late Bernard Namok in 1992, is a symbol of unity and identity for Torres Strait Islander people. Its green stripes represent the land, blue symbolises the sea, and black signifies the people. The traditional Dhari headdress at the centre reflects Torres Strait culture, while the five-pointed star represents the region’s island groups. The flag celebrates Torres Strait Islanders’ cultural heritage, resilience and connection to their land and sea.
